BOOKING 1.1 Voucher-holders should book a date and time to take part in their experience by contacting the WHSmith Adventure Centre. Please note that the experience must be completed before the voucher expiry date. 1.2 The Supplier and/or the WHSmith Adventure Centre reserve the right to make reasonable changes to the programme of any experience, provided that these do not affect, to any material extent, the nature of the experience. 1.3 The WHSmith Adventure Centre reserves the right to reschedule the timing or location of any experience, possibly at short notice, owing to the availability of any experience, the booking numbers or any other factor which is beyond the control of the WHSmith Adventure Centre. Should this be the case, voucher-holders will be contacted. If, in these circumstances, a suitable alternative is not available, voucher-holders will be entitled to a full refund. However, the WHSmith Adventure Centre will not be able to reimburse any travelling or other incidental expenses incurred. 1.4 The WHSmith Adventure Centre reserves the right to discontinue an experience or individual Supplier at its own discretion. Should this occur, the WHSmith Adventure Centre will make every effort to offer a suitable alternative experience. Should such an alternative be unavailable, voucher-holders will be entitled to a full refund. However, the WHSmith Adventure Centre will not be able to reimburse any travelling or other incidental expenses incurred. 1.5 Some experiences, owing to their nature, may be subject to cancellation, owing to weather conditions or other circumstances beyond the control of the WHSmith Adventure Centre, inclusive of, but not exclusive to, mechanical breakdown. Should this occur, the WHSmith Adventure Centre will make every effort to offer a suitable alternative date for voucher-holders to take part in their experience. Should such an alternative date be unavailable, voucher-holders will be entitled to a full refund. However, the WHSmith Adventure Centre will not be able to reimburse any travelling or other incidental expenses incurred. 1.6 As the WHSmith Adventure Centre is unable to reimburse travel or other incidental expenses incurred by voucher-holders in attending a cancelled experience, owing to weather conditions, mechanical breakdowns or other circumstances beyond the control of either the WHSmith Adventure Centre or the experience’s Supplier, it is recommended that voucher-holders contact the Supplier, by phone, before they set out, to check the likelihood of a weather-related cancellation. The contact number for the Supplier will be given to voucher-holders after booking. 1.7 The timing of any experience is given as a guide only, and voucher-holders may be required to wait for their turn, along with other members of the public. However, to avoid disappointment, voucher-holders should ensure that they arrive in good time at their experience’s location. 1.8 In making a booking with the Supplier, voucher-holders will be deemed to have accepted the Supplier’s terms and conditions of trade - they should note the clauses within these relating to cancellation of bookings and limitation of liability. A copy of the Supplier’s terms and conditions can be obtained from the WHSmith Adventure Centre, on request. 1.9 If, at the sole discretion of the Supplier, voucher-holders are deemed unfit or unable to participate safely in all or any part of the experience, the Supplier reserves the right to withdraw them from the experience on the grounds of their own safety and that of others. In these circumstances, they will not be entitled to a refund. 2 HEALTH AND AGE REQUIREMENTS 2.1 Unless stated otherwise, the minimum age to take part in any experience is 14 years. 2.2 Voucher-holders are required to notify the Supplier and/or the WHSmith Adventure Centre of any relevant medical condition(s). 2.3 Following booking, should a voucher-holder have an accident, become ill or develop a relevant medical condition which means that they will be unable to take part, they should follow the instructions, in the box, relating to cancellation insurance. 3 EXPIRY OF VOUCHER 3.1 Please note that voucher-holders must have booked their experience and taken part by the expiry date shown on the front of the voucher. 3.2 If, for any reason, voucher-holders are unable to redeem their voucher and take part in the experience before the expiry date, they may extend the period of the voucher by six months, by telephoning the WHSmith Adventure Centre with a request for an extension. They may extend a voucher during its validity period only, and a voucher’s period may be extended only once. All extensions are subject to an administration fee of £5, payable at the time of extension. 3.3 There is a risk that the WHSmith Adventure Centre may have changed Suppliers for the experience. In this case, voucher-holders will be required to redeem the voucher with any newly appointed Supplier. 4 REFUNDS 4.1 To obtain a full refund, please return the entire box set to any WHSmith High Street store, along with appropriate proof of purchase. 4.2 The company reserves the right to refuse a refund, owing to the poor condition of the returned goods and will not offer a refund if the voucher is not contained in the box set and/or the activation number is missing and/or the experience has already been booked. 4.3 The activation number for any voucher on which a refund has been given will be disabled. 5 LOST VOUCHERS AND ACTIVATION NUMBERS 5.1 Before booking an activity, voucher-holders should write the activation number on the voucher and keep the voucher safely. 5.2 If the activation number is lost before being entered onto the voucher, please contact the WHSmith Adventure Centre helpline immediately. 5.3 If voucher-holders lose their voucher or attend the experience without their voucher and activation number, we regret that they will be unable to participate in their experience. 6. DATA PROTECTION 6.1 When voucher-holders telephone to book their experience, the WHSmith Adventure Centre will take down their personal details; these will be held and passed to the Supplier of the experience for the purposes of administration and processing. 6.2 At the end of the call, voucher-holders will also be asked whether we may telephone them after the experience for the purpose of feedback and customer care. Such a telephone call will be made in reasonable hours and will take place only if the voucher-holder expresses their consent. 6.3 Voucher-holders will also be asked whether they wish to receive post concerning other products and services offered by WHSmith. Such post will be sent only if they give their express consent. 7. MISCELLANEOUS 7.1 Only original, unaltered vouchers, with the correct activation number, will be accepted by the Supplier. 7.2 The cash redemption value of this voucher is 0.000001p. 7.3 This voucher is supplied by: WH Smith Retail Limited (trading as WHSmith Adventure Centre), Greenbridge Road, Swindon, Wiltshire, SN3 3RX. 8 STATUTORY RIGHTS 8.1 Nothing in these terms and conditions shall affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
