Travis Although Travis' debut album Good Feeling was a Top Ten hit, and established them as major players on the indie scene, it wasn't until 1999's The Man Who , which included singles such as Why Does It Always Rain On Me? and Turn , that the Glasgow band really hit the bigtime. After huge critical acclaim, some momentous festival appearances and a US tour with their heroes/mentors Oasis , they released the stop-gap EP, Coming Around before going back into the studio to work on their third album, The Invisible Band . The members of the band come from all around Britain, but met as students in London. After a couple of limited edition (and now highly sought after) indie releases, they were signed to Parlophone to record their debut album Parachutes . Heavily influenced by Radiohead (particularly their second album, The Bends ), with layers of screaming, effects-laden guitars, Muse are now one of the most exciting live bands in the UK, and with two albums under their belts, Showbiz and Origin Of Symmetry , look set to be around for a while yet.
