As he follows the lives of those who were nearest to him, he learns that his murder was in fact part of a plot by his best friend and partner Carl ( Tony Goldwyn ) who also has designs on Molly. He contacts a psychic played by Whoopi Goldberg to assist him in trying to contact Molly and out the truth about his murder. A Few Good Men Heady court room drama in which Demi plays Lt. Commander JoAnne Galloway who is assigned to assist naval lawyer Lt. Daniel Kaffee ( Tom Cruise ) who has a reputation for avoiding court rooms and plea bargaining his way to resolution. On trial are two marines who are accused of murdering fellow marine Santiago at a U.S. naval base in Guantanemo Bay, Cuba. As Kaffee prepares to plea bargain the case to a close Galloway convinces him that there may be more to this than meets the eye. After questioning the defendants it seems that the marine was killed under a ritual ‘code and Galloway and Kaffee have to try and find a way to prove that Col. Nathan Jessup ( Jack Nicholson ) was involved in the ‘code red’ order. The final explosive courtroom scenes make this well worth a look. Indecent Proposal Diana ( Demi ) and David Murphy ( Woody Harlson ) are child hood sweethearts who are doing really well for themselves until the recession hits. On a desperate gambling trip to Vegas Diana is spotted stealing candy by billionaire businessman John Gage ( Robert Redford ) and is immediately attracted to her. John invites the couple to a party and offers David $1million dollars on condition he can spend the night with Diana. Diana makes the decision for him and accepts with disastrous consequences for their marriage but true love wins in the end. About Last Night One of Demi’s earlier films, starring alongside fellow Brat Pack member Rob Lowe . The movie follows the paths of Danny ( Lowe ) and Debbie ( Demi ) who, after a night of passion, have trouble committing to each other. Their attempt at a relationship is often hampered by Debbie’s roommate Joan ( Elizabeth Perkins ) and Danny’s friend Bernie ( James Belushi ). They finally split deciding they have nothing in common although the movie ends leaving us to believe that they may have something in common afterall. Disclosure Based on a Michael Crichton novel about sexual harassment in the workplace. Tom Sanders ( Michael Douglas ) is expecting a promotion at computer software firm Digicom but is disappointed to discover that Meredith Johnson ( Demi Moore ), who he’d had an affair with 2 years earlier, gets the job that was to be his. After her first day Meredith invites Tom to her office and attempts to seduce him. After eventually fighting off her advances he leaves but to his horror the next day Meredith accuses him of sexual harassment. Realising this as a veiled attempt to get Tom out of the company he files a counter-suit much to the annoyance of his boss Bob Garvin ( Donald Sutherland ) who is trying to secure a $100 million merger. G.I. Jane Directed by Ridley Scott , this is the ultimate girl power movie. Lt. Jordan O’Neil ( Demi ) is selected as a test case for woman in combat and has to struggle through the 60% fail rate Navy Seals training programme. Master Chief John James Urgayle ( Viggio Mortensen ) is the hard as nails training instructor who literally comes to blows with O’Neil as part of a training exercise. O’Neil has to prove herself again and again and the political sub plot almost results in her leaving just as she is getting somewhere, but it is only when a real mission occurs that O’Neil finally wins the day. The Butcher's Wife An underrated but charming romantic comedy, clairvoyant Marina ( Demi ) looks for signs that her true love is waiting for her. When New York Butcher Leo ( George Dzundza ) appears on the small island where she lives she is convinced this is her husband to be and promptly marries him and moves to New York. As the butchers wife she befriends the locals and attempts to chart their destinies for them. Marina fails to notice that Leo is falling in love with the frustrated singer Stella ( Mary Steenburgen ) and that she is falling for local over-analytical psychiatrist Alex ( Jeff Daniels ). Mortal Thoughts Low key thriller about two women attempting to cover up the murder of one of their husbands. Cynthia ( Demi ) confesses to the murder on video tape and the events leading up to that point are shown in flashback. Her friend Joyce ( Glenne Headley ) is married to the unfaithful and abusive James ( Bruce Willis ) who is killed during an outing to a carnival. The horror of the movie comes with the chilling realisation that these women are accepting and calm about the extreme action they have taken. St Elmo's Fire Coming of age, post college movie which traces the experiences of a group of graduates and friends as they enter the real world. Outwardly together and seemingly successful Jules ( Demi ) is starting to lose control and her friends are starting to notice the endless casual sex encounters and a worsening drug habit, although each of them are trying to face up to their own issues as they find their way in the real world. Classic 80's coming of age movie. Striptease Demi plays Erin, who has just divorced Darrell ( Robert Patrick ) and lost custody of her child in the process. Losing her secretarial job and being determined to fight for custody of her child she takes a job as an exotic dancer at the aptly named Eager Beaver club to pay for the legal fees. Sleazy club regular David Dillbeck ( Burt Reynolds ) takes a particular interest in Erin, and when one of the other regulars takes some photos of Dillbeck and Erin in a compromising situation Erin decides to use them to blackmail the very well connected Dillbeck into helping her get her daughter back. However when the man with the photos turns up dead Erin realises she might have bitten off more than she can chew and enlists the help of her friends at the club to turn the situation around.
