The Exorcist Based on the novel by William Peter Blatty this is based on the last know Catholic-sanctioned exorcism in the US. Father Merrin ( Max von Sydow ) is called to the assistance of a young girl Regan ( Linda Blair ) who is experiencing fits and behaving bizarrely. Let the exorcism commence... Re-released in 2000, this is the full version with 11 minutes added to it's original format and the sound digitally enhanced. Apocalypse Now Redux Francis Ford Coppola returned to the editing room and has expanded and re-edited this epic 1979 release to include 53 minutes of addtional footage. Based on the Joseph Conrad novella Heart of Darkness , the movie shows the effect of war on Capt. Willard (Martin Sheen) who has to find absent without leave Col. Kurtz ( Marlon Brando ) in the Cambodian jungle. True Romance Although not directed by Tarantino , this action romance was written by him and you can recognise his style instantly. Starring the gorgeous Christian Slater and Patricia Arquette the movie charts their progress after they go on the run, escaping a pimp with something that belongs to him. Bursting with Tarantino street style and energy this really is a very modern romance. This Director's Cut edition features additional footage and scenes not included in the original release.
