Page 2 of 2 Condition check We check if the vehicle has been recorded as written-off by an insurance company due to a damage or theft related insurance claim. We also check if the car has been exported or imported. High risk check We check if the car is classified as ‘high risk’ – ie it is likely that it’s being sold fraudulently, a hire or a rental vehicle that has not been returned to its owner or a demonstration vehicle stolen from a dealer's forecourt. If a vehicle appears as ‘high risk’ we are obliged to inform the data provider. Reg. plate check We will reveal any previous registration plates held on the vehicle using the unique VIN number. Vehicle registration numbers are sometimes changed to hide part of the vehicle’s history. We can track the vehicle’s history even if the registration plate has changed. Optional extras The Hidden History Check can be extended to provide you with additional information. The "extra" options are: Keeper & colour check We provide details of the number of owners that the vehicle has previously had and the dates of those changes. We will also indicate if a vehicle has changed colour and the date it was changed. Mileage check We check the mileage of the vehicle against mileage information collected from a variety of third party sources such as the DVLA and the BVRLA. Mileage information may not be available on all vehicles. Valuation check We check the value of the vehicle using Glass's Consumer Values, provided by Glass's Information Services Ltd, the market leader in the provision of valuation information to the motor trade.
